Eligibility: -Need to be U.S. citizen -Ought to enrolled as a complete-time student (minimum 12 credit hrs) at 1 of the five Virginia Area Grant Consortium member institutions -Need to have finished at least two years of a STEM (science, technological innovation, engineering and math) undergraduate plan and be classified as a junior or senior during the 2012-2013 academic year (ought to have at least junior standing by summer time 2012 if selecting this alternative) -Must be in a system of research demonstrating an interest in aerospace or supporting NASA’s mission -Need to have a grade point average of 3. on a four. scale

Scholarship Open for International Students: No

Scholarship Description: The VSGC Undergraduate STEM Research Scholarship Plan provides awards of up to $ 8,500 to rising juniors and seniors who are enrolled complete-time in a plan of research in science, technologies, engineering, or math (STEM) and have a specific faculty-mentored research project that has NASA or aerospace relevance. Awards are one-year, non-renewable scholarships. Students could apply for the following: a $ 3,000 student stipend for the duration of the 2012–13 academic year and/or a $ three,500 stipend for the duration of summer 2012 or 2013 (need to be specified in application) plus, $ one,000 study allocation for supplies and travel to help research actions carried out during the academic year and/or $ 1,000 analysis allocation in the course of the summer 2012 or 2013 (if performing summer season investigation).
