Eligibility: To be considered for this scholarship, the candidate must meet the following demands: 1. Have Junior or Senior standing in science and engineering as acknowledged by Seattle University, by Fall Quarter 2012, as a continuing student or new transfer student. two. Be a complete-time key in the School of Science and Engineering for the duration of the scholarship. 3. Hold a grade point typical of 3.five or higher for prior college-degree work. four. Have a record of campus involvement and community service, and a commitment to participate in the Bannan Scholar Enrichment Plan. 5. Sullivan Scholars, Naef Scholars, and Sperry Goodman Scholars are not eligible for Bannan Scholarships. 6. Each domestic and international college students may apply. seven. Post-Baccalaureate and fifth year students are not eligible for Bannan Scholarships.

Scholarship Description: The Seattle University College of Science and Engineering is committed to delivering an exceptional educational knowledge. At the core of our plan are a faculty who are deeply committed to helping students attain educational and career ambitions state of the art amenities in the Bannan Center for Science and Engineering expert accreditation via ABET, formerly recognized as the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, the American Chemical Society, and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Schooling Applications and a close working  partnership with nearby market in our awardwinning Science and Engineering Project Center. These scholarships are named for their benefactor, Thomas J. Bannan, a man with a long and devoted affiliation with Seattle University, and a leader in manufacturing, commerce, engineering and applied sciences both in Seattle and in Los Angeles. Bannan Scholars are upper-degree college students selected on the basis of academic achievement and dedication to service to the campus and better community. A Bannan scholarship is a merit award of $ five,000 per year, and is in addition to any other monetary aid received.
