Eligibility: The bursar shall be chosen from college leavers who are creating application for admission to a university inside New Zealand to undertake a full-time course of research in the coming year. The bursary shall be open to candidates generally resident inside the South Island who intend pursuing a course of research in places relating to the meat industry, its linked industries and/or primary production. A broad interpretation will be offered to the course of research and would include agriculture, engineering, science, veterinary science, accounting, advertising and marketing, laptop or computer science, meals technology and management.

Scholarship Open for International College students: No

Scholarship Description: To encourage persons from the South Island to undertake University schooling in the hope that some will return to the South Island and pass on the benefits of their studying to that community and its industries. The bursary is advertised extensively in South Island newpapers late November/ early December each and every year. Particulars of availability of application forms are integrated in the advertisement.
