Scholarship Open for International Students: No Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for a PhD student position at the Laboratory for High Energy Physics of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Our group (Prof. A. Bay, Prof. T. Nakada, Prof. O. Schneider) is strongly involved in LHCb, a particle physics experiment taking data at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider and dedicated to the study of B physics and CP violation. The successful candidate will become a member of the LHCb collaboration, participate in the data taking, contribute to the maintenance, operations or calibration of the hardware components under the responsibility of our group, and perform physics data analysis.
