Eligibility:
-For the goal of admission to IMPRS-UFAST, candidates should have obtained a M.Sc. degree, a German Diplom or a degree equivalent to either of these (e.g. a “Laurea” which includes a Master’s Thesis) in area of Physics, Biology or Chemistry.
-Degrees of applicants from foreign nations will have to be accepted by the admissions and registration workplace of the University of Hamburg or the institution that will award the degree. This procedure is managed by the IMPRS-UFAST workplace.
-College students who are in the final stages of their M.Sc. degree but have not however graduated can submit an application but ought to have completed the Masters degree prior to starting up the programme at IMPRS-UFAST.
-Candidates who have obtained a Masters degree which did not incorporate a thesis element could be admitted to the programme if sufficient proof of research activities (e.g. publications, papers) can be offered.
-Students who have graduated with a B.Sc. degree in an region related to the intended doctoral research may apply to IMPRS-UFAST under a “fast track” alternative. The “fast track” choice includes following an intense curriculum in year one and submitting a written piece of operate of suitable length at the finish of the year. Scholarship Description: IMPRS-UFAST is a PhD programme which provides unique training opportunities in the area of ultrafast imaging with a view to exploring structural adjustments of atoms, molecules, condensed, biological, or warm dense matter on femtosecond time scales. Students perform and investigation alongside an international and interdisciplinary team of professionals with access to initial-class analysis facilities and whilst obtaining a PhD degree.
